After a two-year stint working as a greenie I went to work for the Department of Agriculture in Moora and then Geraldton.
I worked as an agricultural advisor, learning quickly from other staff and growers to find that I could actually give some very sound advice. It was some years after leaving the department when by chance I met a grower who said to me you made a lot of money for me in those years while you were at the department, thanks for that.
In 1997 consulting drew me to NSW and here I remain. I am working for a small company that specialises in seed production. We are now expanding and moving into biofuel production.
It looks like I have done a full circle and now meld my Agricultural Science and Environmental Science qualifications with 20 years of work experience to make a positive impact on farming, while addressing climate change.
