
Terry Hill has had extensive experience within the horticultural industry at a State, National and International level. He has held a number of senior positions within the Department of Agriculture and Food in WA, including Regional Manager of the Southern Pastoral region and more recently, Director, Horticulture Industry development for the past five years. He is currently the Acting Deputy Director General of Regional services. In these roles he has managed and lead people working to deliver innovative outcomes for industry, and has developed wide knowledge of WA’s agriculture industries. He is a Director of the Grape and Wine Research Development Corporation and past Director of Horticulture Australia Limited (eight years). He was inaugural Director of HAL and with industry leaders worked to establish and grow the company. In these roles he has worked closely with industry at a strategic level to develop and implement National research and development programs. He is currently the project leader for a major Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research project being delivered in Indonesia.
